Welcome to Advent 2026.

John, Chris, Adam, and Robin have a history of filling December with things nobody thought to put on a wish list: deranged gifts, calendars of calendars, wordplay, and increasingly improbable appearances by The Face. The tradition is simple: open a door and discover something strange.

For 2026, the plan is a new post for every day of December, all the way through the 31st. Each day’s entry is its own little door into the project. Start here, return for the next date, and see what they have left for you.

How to follow along

Visit the 2026 calendar to find the daily entries. Choose a date, open its post, and enjoy whatever turns up. Come back through December for the next installment; earlier entries are there to revisit. Today’s first door is a preview of the format while they decide just how peculiar this year should become.
